Mary Emily Parsons Carter, 84, of Odum, Ga. passed away Saturday, June 7, 2025.  The Miami, Florida native had lived in Wayne County for the past 42 years and was a devoted born- again Christian. She assisted her husband with his business, Wayne County Transmission, and enjoyed her musical life as a pianist and singing Gospel music. She was predeceased by her husband Bobby Joe Carter, a grandson, Jacob Carter, her mother, Margaret Cooper, her father, Garland Parsons, Sr., and a brother, Garland (Bud) Parsons.

Survivors are a daughter, Bonnie Carter of Odum; 2 sons, Craig (Doreen) Grabova of Yulee, Fla. and Joe (Lori) Carter of Brunswick, Ga.; grandchildren, Hannah, Abigail, William, Jason, Michelle, Caitlyn, Kyle, and William; several great grandchildren, a sister, Susan Arruda of Virginia.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, June 14, 2025 from House of Worship and Ministries with Rev. Mickey Tomberlin officiating. Interment will follow in Moody- Tillman Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Matt Parsons, Noah Norton, Connor Strickland, Craig Carter, and Joe Carter.

Family will receive friends one hour prior to services at the church.
