Mary Nell Morris Horton, 88, of Jesup, Ga. passed away on April 2, 2026. The Alabama native had lived most of her adult life in Wayne County and was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church. She was a head supervisor and trainer at Manhattan Shirt Factory and loved to fish, paint, garden and sew. Her husband, Homer Horton preceded her in death along with her daughter, Cathy Holmes; a step-son, Chip Horton, a step daughter, Dianne Horton; her parents, George Robert and Donie Freeman Morris; brothers, George Herman Morris, Hubert D. “Pete” Morris, Lavern Morris and Bobby Morris; a sister, Minnie Jo Nordberg; son-in-law, Michael Holmes, and granddaughter, Morgan Holmes.

Survivors are her daughter, Cindy (Ricky) Harper of Jesup; son, Ray (Brenda) Davidson of Jesup; 6 grandchildren, Jeffrey (Mandy) Davidson, Jason (Danielle) Martin, Holly (Billy) Lane, Megan Holmes, Hannah (Jadan) Johnson, and Austin Crowder; 11 great grandchildren, Dani, Dalton, Zachery, Dagan, Porter, Haizlee, Denton, Zaine, Ryker, Walker, and Silvy Jo; a brother, Walter Lavelle (Hannah) Morris of Roanoke, Ala.; numerous nieces and nephews; step-daughters, Joy Gall and Vicki Horton.

Funeral services will be 11 AM, Wednesday, April 8, 2026 at Rinehart and Sons Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Stanley Todd and Rev. Bob Richardson officiating. Interment will follow in the Union Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be her family.

Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
