Mary Drawdy Diaz, 83 of Jesup died Thursday, February 1, 2018 after an extended illness.  The Wayne County native was a retiree of Interstate Paper Company, EAM Corporation, and a former commissioner of the City of Jesup.  Her family depended on her geneaology knowledge.  She was predeceased by her parents, Charlie and Dolly Drawdy; two sisters, Mattie Lee Drawdy and Georgia Broome; two brothers, Otis and Delma Drawdy; a nephew, Darrell Drawdy and great niece, Kristen Davis.

Survivors are 6 nieces, Anita Martin, Barbara (Ray) Carter, Michelle (Jeff) Holland, all of Jesup, Linda (Milton) Morgan of Rincon, Jan Medona of Spruce Port, New York,  Sue Mobley of Wilmington, North Carolina; 3 nephews, Edwin (Elaine) Drawdy of Jesup, Ronnie (Marla) Drawdy of Valdosta, Charles Broome of Eatonton; 19 great nieces and nephews, a sister-in-law, Grace Drawdy of Jesup.

Funeral services will be 3 P.M., Sunday, February 4, 2018 at Rinehart and Sons Chapel with Rev. Bryan Davis and Rev. Justin Drawdy officiating.  Interment will be in the Jesup City Cemetery.  Active pallbearers will be her family members.  Honorary pallbearers will be her nephews.

Visitation will be 2 to 3 P.M.  prior to services at the funeral home.
