Lynn Hanks Scarborough, 66, of Jesup, Ga. passed away on Wednesday, November 1, 2023 under the care of Hospice of South Georgia.  The former Moultrie resident had lived in Wayne County the past 38 years and was a member of Altamaha Baptist Church where she served as a volunteer office worker. She was a mother and grandmother, aka "Amma" and loved to cook, shop for antiques and decorate.  Her whole world revolved around her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, James Hanks and Cherry Hanks Cosby and her granddaughter, Hannah Sellars.

Survivors are her husband of 51 years, Kerry Scarborough of Jesup; two daughters, Sherry (Ben) Bowen of Jesup and Heather (Jared) Sellars of Pensacola, Fla. a son, Chad (Heather) Scarborough of Odum; 8 grandchildren, Abby (Austin) Lewis, Lex Bowen, Maddie Sellars, Reid and Jude Bowen, Weston, Jake and Jed Scarborough; a sister, Darlene (Jimmy) Shelton and brother, Gary (Anne) Hanks, all of Moultrie; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 2 PM Sunday, November 5, 2023 at Altamaha Baptist Church with Rev. Terry Sellars officiating. Interment will follow in the Pinecrest Memorial Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be her family and friends.

Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church.
