Louise Bennett Halla, 85, of Jesup, Ga. died Tuesday, November 28, 2023 under the care of Hospice of South Georgia.  The Wayne County native was a Baptist and worked for several stores in her early life.  She reared her children in California and was the first president of the Little League Baseball Club in Harbor City. She loved to cook, care for plants and collect figurines and porcelain dolls. Her husband, Richard Halla, Sr. preceded her in death along with her parents, Artemas and Arabelle Bennett and several siblings.

Survivors are 3 daughters, Debbie (Jose) Rodriguez of Jesup, Teresa (Walt) Wilhem of Arizona and Cheryl (Ben) Rozier of Bloomingdale; two sons, Richard (Leslie) Halla, Jr. of California and Walter Halla of Richmond Hill; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and a great-great grandchild; several nieces and nephews.
