Obituary

Louise Dunham Dear, 96, of Jesup, Ga. died Saturday, June 18, 2022. The Wayne County native was a member of First United Methodist Church and The Joy Sunday School Class. She served as the "Dear" Family Matriarch and was a member of Green Thumb of Jesup for many years. She was an avid antique collector and enjoyed arranging and helping others with their finds.

She was the widow of Clarence Dear, and is also predeceased by her son, Charles F. Dear; sisters, Dorothy Sponholtz, Isabelle Howard, and Vivian Dunham; brothers, John F. and Spencer Dunham

Survivors are sons; Richard (Carolina), Stephen, and David (Lori) Dear all of Jesup; grandchildren, Wendy, Ellie, Maggie, Catherine, Stephen, Jr., C.J., Brooke Brittany, Spencer Dear and Parker Ogden; several great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 2:00, Tuesday, June 21, 2022 from Rinehart and Sons Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Rebecca Duke- Barton officiating. Interment will follow in Jesup City Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be family. Honorary pallbearers will be the Joy Sunday School Class of First United Methodist Church.

Family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 p.m. prior to services at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to First United Methodist Church, 205 E. Cherry Street, Jesup, GA., 31546.

Rinehart and Sons Funeral Home of Jesup, Ga. is in charge of arrangements.
