Linda Odum Frye, 66, of Screven, Ga. died Thursday, July 13, 2023 under the care of Hospice of South Georgia and her family. The Wayne County native was a member of Screven First Baptist Church and worked most of her life waiting on friends and family at the The Screven Restaurant. She was an avid reader and enjoyed her coffee time and being with family. She is predeceased by her parents, Carol and Betty White Wasdin.

Survivors are her husband of 40 years, David A. Frye of Screven; a daughter and son-in-law, Ashley (Matthew) Van Dyke of Rincon, Ga.; son, Eric Frye of Savannah; brothers, Edward (Deidra) Odum of Odum, Ga. and Robert (Norma) Odum of Screven; a grandson, Owen Van Dyke; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Graveside services will be held 10:00 a.m., Saturday, July 15, 2023 from Screven City Cemetery with Rev. Stanley Todd officiating.

Family will receive friends at the cemetery from 9:00-10:00 a.m. prior to services.

Rinehart and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
