Laura Poore, 65, of Jesup, Ga. passed away on Thursday, April 2, 2026. The Duval County native had lived in Wayne County the past 20 years and was a long- time school bus driver in Jacksonville, Florida. She enjoyed cooking and fishing in her spare time. She was predeceased by a daughter, Rebecca Shivers.

Survivors are a son; Troy Poore of Jesup, Ga.; a sister Donna Heffernan of Screven, Ga.; brother, Rex Poore, II of Blackshear, Ga.; 2 grandchildren, Zoey Poore and Troy Poore, II.

Memorial services will be held by her family.
