James "Kevin" Lewis, 54, of Jesup, Ga. and Tucker, Ga. died Wednesday, January 4, 2023 of an apparent cardiac arrest. The Wayne County native was a 1986 graduate of Wayne County High School, where he was drum major and of graduate of Augusta Medical College earning a Respiratory Therapist degree. He was employed by Emory University Hospital and previously worked with Eggleston Children's Hospital. He enjoyed spending time with his family especially, being an uncle as well as craft work and cooking. He was predeceased by his mother, Marjorie Padgett Lewis.

Survivors are a spouse, Steven F. Walton of Tucker, Ga., his parents, Julian and Carol Lewis of Jesup; sister, Lisa (Bob) Callaway of Collins, Ga.; several nieces, nephews, and cousins whom he adored.

Graveside services will be held 2:00 p.m., Monday, January 9, 2023 from George Cemetery with Elder Keith Tillman officiating.

Family will receive friends at services. Active pallbearers will be family.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Eggleston Hospital, 1405 Clifton Rd., N.E., Atlanta, GA. 30322.
