Kathleen Batten Harper Brackin, 84, of Odum, Ga. died Sunday, April 17, 2022.  She was a member of Jesup First Freewill Baptist Church and a homemaker.  Her former husband, James Perry Harper preceded her in death along with her two sons, James Richard "Richie" and Ronald "Ronnie" Perry Harper.

Survivors are her husband, Thad Brackin of Odum; daughters, Cindy (Donnie) Martin of Gardi and Tina (Drew) Thornton of Jesup; a daughter-in-law, Stephanie Harper of Odum; grandchildren, Nick and Perry Harper, Kevin (Erica Craven) Copeland, Bailey (Brandi) Thornton and step-grandchild, Jalyn Martin; 5 great grandchildren, Micah, Nathaniel, Emily, Caleb and Ryan Copeland; niece and caregiver, Michelle (Shon) Mullis and nephew, Tony (Wendy) Westberry.

Graveside funeral services will be 2 PM Tuesday, April 19, 2022 in Odum City Cemetery with Pastor Randy Valandingham officiating. Honorary pallbearers are Sandra Merrier, Lynn Brannen and Opal Mallard.

The family will receive friends 30 minutes prior to the service at the cemetery.
