Karl Leister, 56, passed away on April 25, 2026. He was born on August 5, 1969, and spent his life surrounded by the people he loved most.

Karl is survived by his beloved wife, Frances Sacco Leister; his brother, Kenny Edenfield; his two daughters, Amanda Batten (Charles Batten, Jr.) and Casie Martin (Jacob Martin); his three cherished granddaughters, Nevaeh, Emma, and Zoey. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who will miss him dearly.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Polly DeSmidt, and his brother, Charles “Chuck” Edenfield.

Karl had a deep love for loud music and old cars, passions that reflected his vibrant personality. Above all, he was a family man-his family meant everything to him, and he took great pride in the life they built together.

Karl will be remembered for his strong presence, his love of life, and the lasting impression he made on those around him.
