Julie Crummey Grimsley, 55, of Jesup, Ga. passed away on Saturday, December 23, 2023.  The Wayne County native was a 1986 Wayne County High School Graduate.  She worked for many years with Grimes Insurance and enjoyed hunting and fishing all of her life. Her husband, Robert D. Grimsley preceded her in death along with her father, Roy Curtis Crummey.

Survivors are a daughter, Rebecca (Ronald) Mayer of Jesup; brother, Roy (Linda) Crummey, Jr. of Jesup; grandchildren, Robert, Halie, Emma Rae and Abigail, all of Jesup; a step-son, Bobby (Tonya) Grimsley of Dillon, SC; a very special nephew, Wesley Crummey and two other nephews, Curtis (Lila) Crummey and David Crummey; niece, LeeAnn (David) Wilkes; great nephews, Kenneth and Leroy; great nieces, Linlee and Macie; special aunt, Gleneese Grimes and Jesus (Ana); Julie's companion, Preston Fowler.

Graveside funeral services will be 3 PM Tuesday, December 26, 2023 at Crummey Cemetery on Hwy. 169 in Jesup with Rev. Larry Harris officiating.

Visitation will be 1:30 to 2:30 PM Tuesday, December 26, 2023 at Rinehart Funeral Home.
