Julian C. McLendon, Jr., 80, of Jesup, Ga. passed away on Friday, May 26, 2023.  The Chatham County native and former resident had lived in Wayne County the past 20 years and was a retired social worker with DFACS.  He loved to have a pen or pencil in his hand while he transferred many pictures in his mind to his paper.  Everyone around him called him "Grandad" whether he was kin to him or not. His wife, Ruth "Nana" McLendon preceded him in death along with his son, Daniel McLendon and two sisters, Joan and Barbara.

Survivors are a grandson, Daniel Fields of Jesup; 3 great grandchildren, Mary, John and Dawson.

Private memorial services will be held Saturday, June 3, 2023.
