Juanita Thornton Narvaez, 77, of Bristol, Ga. passed away on Thursday, November 5, 2026. The Wayne County native had attended Antioch Congregational Christian Church and was a retired paramedic. Arranging flowers was her gift and she even owned her own florist at one season of her life. Fishing was a favorite pastime. Her parents, James Harvey and Waunell Denison Thornton preceded her in death.

Survivors are two sons, James Robert (Katie) Dykes IV of Bristol and Christopher Michael (Lauren) Dykes of Macon; 7 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren; 3 sisters, Mary Ruth Griffis of Brunswick, Shirley (Ronnie) Thornton of Odum and Lori (Hayden) Rozier of Screven; numerous nieces and nephews.

Graveside funeral services will be 3 PM Sunday, November 8, 2026 in the Antioch Cemetery in Appling County with Pastor Rob Kestler and Rev. Derwin Griffin officiating. Active pallbearers will be her family and friends.

The family will receive friends 30 minutes prior at the cemetery.
