John Crosby, 52, of Jesup, Ga. passed away on Thursday, September 3, 2026. The Chatham County native was an ordained minister, pastored several churches in Wayne County and served in the Air Force National Guard. He enjoyed NASCAR, especially Dale Earnhardt and watching his favorite football star, Tom Brady. He worked most of his life in the transportation area. His parents, James and Cynthia Crosby preceded him in death along with his sister, Kelly Crosby and father-in-law, Jerry Shamblin.

Survivors are his wife of 28 years, Julie Shamblin Crosby of Jesup; two daughters, Macy and Karlee Crosby; brothers, James and Jeremy Crosby; sisters, Carol and Merry Crosby; several nieces and nephews; father-in-law, Michael Harper; sisters-in-law, Lilly Hodges and Adrianne Manning.

A private family celebration of life will be held soon.
