Joan Ellen Jahn Blount, 89, of Jesup, Ga.  passed away, August 19, 2022.  She was a Chicago, IL. native and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. She enjoyed traveling, camping and vacationing with her family. She was predeceased by her first husband of 67 years, Lawrence T. Jahn; her parents, John Walter Cox and Hazel Clara Cox; her daughter, Donna Jo Jahn-Dean; and son, Robert Jahn.

Survivors are her husband, Arthur Blount, her children, Patrick (Debbie) Jahn of Chicago, IL., Joe Jahn of Jesup, Lawrence Jahn of Texas; grandchildren, Sarah and Patrick Jahn, Jr., Cheyenne Dean , Jessica Abad,  Sam (Nicole) Dean IV, Michael, Kyle,  Ryan,  and Hannah Jahn and her son-in-law,  Ed  Dean of Jesup, Jennifer (Todd) Wargo, Angela (Steve) Koerner, Marshall Gulley, Courtney  Heather, Lawrence, and Brandon Jahn; several great grandchildren; step-son, Artie Blount, and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m., Monday, August 22, 2022, at Pinecrest Memorial Cemetery with Father Keith O'Neill officiating. Pallbearers will be her grandsons and great grandsons.

Family will receive friends from  9:30-10:30 a.m. prior to services at Rinehart and Sons Funeral Home.
