Jerry Emmett Long, 90, of Jesup, Ga. passed away on Wednesday, October 1, 2025 under the care of Hospice of South Georgia.  The Pierce County native lived most of his life in Wayne County and was an active member and former worship leader at Cornerstone United Pentecostal Church.  The retired ITT Rayonier employee enjoyed fishing, hunting, and watching Atlanta Braves and Wayne County High School Yellow Jacket Baseball Teams. His wife of 59 years, Judy Warnock Long preceded him in death along with his granddaughter, Brianna Pearl Long and brother, J.W. Long.

Survivors are 3 daughters, Sherri (Pastor Danny) Webster of Brunswick, Anna (Fred Diehl) Franklin of Jesup and Christina (Clifford) Hartnett of Smyrna, Delaware; a son, Steven (Amy) Long of Screven; a sister-in-love, Betty Davis of Jesup.

Funeral services will be 3 PM Sunday, October 5, 2025 at Cornerstone United Pentecostal Church with Pastor Tim Bush and Bishop Ray Worley officiating. Interment will follow in the Screven City Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be family and friends.

Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church.
