Jeffery E. "Jeff" Edmonston, 59, of Jesup, Ga. passed away on Monday, May 6, 2024.  The Florida native had lived in Wayne County for the past 20 years and was a Baptist.  He was in U.S. Army Infantry, serving two tours and a retired Fort Stewart Civil Service Firefighter. Some favorite pastimes were fishing, hunting and spending time with his family. His grandparents who reared him, James "Bill" and Cora Edmonston preceded him in death.

Survivors are his wife of 32 years, Renee Franklin Edmonston of Jesup; son, Jeffery D. Edmonston of Jesup; daughter, Nicole Lipsey of St. Simons Island; two grandchildren, Delilah and Tallulah; sister, Gail (Sonny) Davis of Tallahassee, Fla.; brothers, Jerry (Sherri) Edmonston and Chris (Shara) Edmonston, both of Tallahassee, Fla.; several nieces and nephews.

Celebration of life graveside service will be 11 AM Friday, May 10, 2024 at Thompson Family Cemetery on Annie Thompson Road in Odum with Aunt Dale Franklin speaking and the U.S. Army Presentation of the United States Flag. Active pallbearers will be his family.

Visitation will be 9:30 to 10:30 AM Friday, May 10, 2024 at Rinehart Funeral Home.
