Janice Creech McLain, 73, of Jesup, Ga. went to her heavenly home on Monday, October 17, 2022, surrounded by her family.  The Dade City, Fla. native had lived in Wayne County most of her life, was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and a retired secretary with Gene McLain Body Shop.  She loved to entertain her family and friends, cooking and was the most cheerful giver.  Her parents, Lester and Edna Creech preceded her in death along her grandson, Ryan Brown.

Survivors are her HERO (husband) of 28 years, Gene McLain of Jesup; son, Mack McLain of Jesup; two daughters, Charlotte (Norman) Franklin and Misty (Thomas) Flowers, both of Jesup; 4 grandchildren, Brittanie (Trent) Walker, Josie, and Weston; 3 great grandchildren, Wyatt, Preston and Parker; two sisters, Scarlett Richman and Linell Roberson, both of Jesup; a special niece, Scarlett Holt of Valdosta; an aunt, Jackie Perkins; a special fur baby, "Scooby".

Funeral services will be 2 PM Wednesday, October 19, 2022 at Calvary Baptist Church with Reverends Vann Dempsey and Pete Boyd officiating. Interment will follow in the Pinecrest Memorial Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be her family.

Visitation will be 5 to 7 PM Tuesday, October 18, 2022 at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of South Georgia, 1625 Sunset Blvd., Jesup, GA 31545.
