Janet Mixon Savage, 81, of Jesup, Ga went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 29. 2023. Janet was born in Brunswick, Ga and lived in Florida for many years but resided in Jesup for the past 40 years. She was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church and a retiree from the Wayne County Tax Assessor's Office. She enjoyed growing flowers and spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Janet's helpful attitude and ready smile and sweet spirit will be missed by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her parents, Delmas E. Mixon and Hazel Collins Mixon and her 3 brothers, J. Rodney, Glen E. and Donald Wayne Mixon, Sr.

Survivors are a son, John B. Savage of Waycross; 2 daughters, Ann (Paul) Goober and Susan (Gary) Crowder, both of Jesup; a sister, Sandra Mixon of Franklin, N.C.; grandchildren, Sara Cushing, Austin Savage, Leah Hickox, Erica Goober Sutton, Josh Mullis, Sean Savage, Laura Mullis and Abigil Savage; 12 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held 2:00 p.m., Monday, May 1, 2023 from Liberty Cemetery,5616 Odum Screven Road, Jesup, Ga. 31545 with Rev. Mickey Tomberlin and Rev. Gerald Greenlee officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to GHC Hospice, 141 S. Macon Street, Jesup, GA 31545.
