Janet L. Beverly, 75, of Jesup, Ga. and formerly of Brunswick, passed away on Monday, December 11, 2023 under the care of Hospice of South Georgia and surrounded by her loving family.  The SC native was of the Baptist faith and was a helpmeet for her husband in his business, Beverly Construction Company.  She was so selfless and giving was her love language.  She served others through her cooking, sewing and gardening.  Some of her favorite hobbies were solving puzzles and crocheting. Her two stepsons, Gurtis and Eddie Beverly preceded her in death along with an infant son, Charles E. Beverly, Jr.

Survivors are her husband of 59 years, Charles E. Beverly, Sr. of Jesup; a daughter, Charlene (Thomas) Blount of Brunswick; two sons, Donnie R. Phillips and Ronnie D. (Saundra) Phillips, both of Brunswick; a step-daughter, Linda (George) Wilson of Townsend; 15 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, and 5 great-great grandchildren; 3 brothers, Wade Furtick of Swansea, SC, David Furtick of W. Columbia, SC and Mike (Deborah) Furtick of Pelion, SC.

Funeral services will be 11 AM Friday, December 15, 2023 at Rinehart Chapel with Rev. Mike Landrum officiating. Interment will follow in the Red Hill Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be family and friends.

Visitation will be 30 minutes prior to services at the funeral home.
