Jamie Coye Overstreet, Jr. (Jamie), passed away Tuesday, April 30, 2024. Jamie, 47, was a lifelong resident of Jesup. He was born to the late Diane Hammond and the late James Coye (Jimmy) Overstreet, Sr on January 23, 1977. Jamie resided at Harborview Health Center for the past three years and was under the care of Hospice of South Georgia. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and he attended Wayne County Public Schools. Jamie and his dad operated Overstreet Lawn Services for fifteen years.  Jamie loved Jesup and all the people of Wayne County and attended every sporting event with his dad. Jamie was known as "The Yellow Jacket Mascot".

Survivors include his aunts and uncles, Mary O. Burroughs (Ron) of Savannah, Darlene H. Antley (Bill) of Port. St. Joe, Florida, Ricky Hammond, uncle of Jesup and multiple cousins and extended family including the Millers and life long friends.

Graveside memorial services will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, June 22, 2024 from Jesup City Cemtery with Rev. Calvin Anderson officiating.
