Obituary

Jami Dale Oglesby Riddle 43, of Screven, died unexpectedly on Friday, July 31, 2026. Jami attended elementary school in Brunswick, middle school in Wayne County, and was a 2001 graduate of Wayne County High School. She was currently employed by Ag South. Her favorite past time was buying, riding, and selling horses especially when she could “double” her money. Her love of horses was second only to the love of her family. She enjoyed sharing all of her “horse knowledge” with anyone that would listen. She was everyone’s “best friend”. She was the daughter of the late Roger Dale Oglesby and the grand daughter of the late Clyteal Wimpey and C.F. and Bertha Hatcher and J.W. and Dorothy Oglesby.

Survivors are her son, Dusty Scott Riddle, her mother, Debra Wimpey Oglesby both of Screven; a sister, Sue Lynn Oglesby Taylor of Brunswick; two nieces, Marandon (Ben) Wray and Tabitha Loper, both of Brunswick and Paris (C.J) Rojas of Oceanside, CA.; her companion Clay Drury and his children, Cole, Sophie, and Silla.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Monday, August 3, 2026 at O’Quinn Baptist Church with Rev. Donnie Mullis and Rev. Gerald Greenlee officiating. Interment will follow at O’Quinn Baptist Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Jeremy Patrick, Garrett Flowers, Robbie Drury, Cole Drury, Dennis Rossignol, Chris Murphy, Blayne Odam, and Art Todd. Honorary pallbearers will be the employees of Ag South and all her “Horse Friends”.

Western/Causal wear will honor Jami.

Memorials may be made to: Dusty Riddle Educational Account, c/o Prime South Bank, 375 West Cherry Street, Jesup, GA 31545.

Family will receive friends from 2:00-3:00 p.m. prior to services at the church.
