Jesup, Georgia James D. "Jimmy" Manuel, 63, of Jesup, GA, died Friday, November 5, 2010, at his residence after an extended illness. The Wayne Co., GA, native was a member of Community Praise and Worship on E. Plum Street in Jesup, GA. He was formerly a cement finisher with James White Landscaping Company, was predeceased by his parents: Martin & Christine Manuel, sisters: Janie Woods, Diane Gravley, Estelle Herndon, brothers: Johnny Manuel, Joe Manuel & Hayward Manuel. Survivors are his wife of 36 years: Doris Blackwell Manuel of Jesup, GA, a son and daughter-in-law: Jesse (Vicki) Pratt of Jesup, GA, 2 brothers: Woody (Mary) Manuel of Jesup, GA, Marvin (Teresa) Manuel of Hardeeville, SC, 2 sisters: Eva Damon of Jacksonville, FL, Fannie Pearl McGauley of Jesup, GA, 3 grandchildren: Tyrone Clark, Jesse Clark, & Angel Pratt, several nieces & nephews. Funeral services will be 2 P. M. Sunday, November 7, 2010, from the Rinehart & Sons Chapel with Rev. Ray Gillis officiating. Interment will be in the Liberty Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be: Jesse Pratt, Danny McNabb, Kevin Heard, Joe Manuel, William Sloan, & Robbie Finch. Honorary pallbearers will be: Hospice of South Georgia, Peetie White, & Richard White. Visitation will be 1 to 2 P. M. Sunday from the funeral home.
