James Lee "Jimmy" Robertson, 82, of Jesup, Ga. died Sunday, July 20, 2025. The Wayne County native was a life- long member of Calvary Baptist church and former church historian and member of the new church building committee. He was a 1960 graduate of Wayne County High School and a graduate of Georgia Southern College with a Masters degree in Industrial Technology and later earned a Master of Science for Teachers. He was member of the Alpha Phi Omega service fraternity and Lota Alph Tau. Upon retiring from education after 33 years, he began his life with enjoyable hobbies which included assisting classmates with organizing meetings and events and being helpful to many others.  He was predeceased by his parents, Clarence Carroll "Buck" and Marion Preston.

Survivors are his wife of 56 years, Cecile Jordan Robertson of Jesup, a son, David Robertson, (Cassie) and one precious grandson, Alexander Robertson all  of Jesup; a sister, Barbara Crosby of Jesup, brother and sister-in-laws, Don (Mary) Jordan of Roswell, Ga. and Bill (Anita) Jordan of Screven, several nieces and nephews.

"Celebration of Life" services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 23, 2025 from Calvary Baptist Church with Pastor Pete Boyd and David Robertson officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be the Cheryl Williams Ladies Sunday School Class of Calvary Baptist Church and the 1960 classmates of Wayne County High School.

Family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00 a.m. prior to services at the church.
