James Carroll Todd, 89, of Bristol, Ga. passed away on Monday, October 5, 2026. The Appling County native was reared in the Church of God faith. In his early healthy years, he was employed with the CSX Railroad in Waycross. Farming became his job in his later life and riding the tractor was a part of his happiest years. He was known to go drop a hook in some fishing holes near the farm. His son, Timothy Carroll Todd preceded him in death along with his parents, Edward and Estella Todd.

Survivors are a son, James (Bridget) Todd, a daughter, Cindy (Jr) Blanton, and Edwin (Terri) Todd, all of Jesup; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; a sister, Vonnie (Elvin) Anderson of Fitzgerald.

Visitation will begin at 3 PM Friday, October 9, 2026 at Rinehart and Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Tommy Kelly officiating. Burial will follow in the Screven City Cemetery.
