Jacquelyn Elaine Black, 82, of Odum, Ga., died Saturday, December 31, 2022, in Southern Pines Senior Living Center. Born to the late Lamar and Dorothy Mims Wester on August 31, 1940, in Savannah, Georgia, she married the late Gene Myles Black on September 7, 1958, in Odum. She was a devoted homemaker who divided her time between home and church. As her children grew up, she worked for the U.S. Army's Housing Referral Office, where she was known for her ever-cheerful personality and ever-present smile.

Survivors are a son and daughter-in-law, Myles Leslie Black and Teresa Coleman of Thomasville; daughters, Lisa Perkins of Evansville, Indiana and Rebecca Johnson of Los Angeles, California; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sisters and brothers-in-law, Gwen and John McCamish and Jan and Danny Webber; brother and sister-in-law, Darrell and Pam Wester.

Graveside funeral services will be 11 AM Saturday, January 7, 2023, in Odum City Cemetery with Rev. Daniel Webber officiating.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 PM Friday, January 6, 2023, at Rinehart and Sons Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to Epworth United Methodist Church, 675 S. 3rd St., Jesup, GA 31545.
