J.B. Perry, 83, of Jesup, Ga. passed away on Saturday, July 17, 2021.  The Nashville, Ga. native had lived in Wayne County the past 15 years and was a member of Crossroads Church of God where he was a former Sunday school teacher.  A U.S. Army Veteran was a retired employee with the U.S. Department of Agriculture. An important part of his life was serving the ministry through pastoring and mission programs.  He also volunteered with Wayne Memorial Hospital Auxiliary for 10 years.

Survivors are his wife of 50 years, Geneva Oswalt Perry of Jesup; two daughters, Pam (Gregory) Hites of Douglasville and Linda Gelbhaar of Wallace, N.C.; son, Mike (Cathy) Perry of Plant City, Fla.; God-child, Sylena Eppich of Wallace, N.C.; 13 grandchildren and several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

A Celebration of life service will be 2 PM Tuesday, July 20, 2021 at Rinehart and Sons Chapel with Rev. Hulet Smith and Pastor Brandon Stone officiating. Interment will follow in the Pinecrest Memorial Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be his family. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the WMH Auxiliary.

Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
