Horace Creel, 79, of Jesup died Tuesday, November 21, 2023. The South Carolina native had lived in Wayne County most of his life and was a member and deacon of Emanuel Holiness Church. He was a retired Truck Driver with the pulpwood industry and his enjoyment came from singing gospel songs, reading God's word and raking his yards. He is predeceased by his wife, Mattie Sloan Creel.

Survivors are a brother, Nal Creel of Folkston; two nieces, Brenda Westberry and Bernett Driggers both of Jesup and extended family.

Graveside funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 22, 2023 from Pinecrest Memorial Cemetery with Rev. Brad Mansfield officiating.

Family will receive friends at the services.
