Jesup, Ga. Herbert H. Castle, 82 of Jesup, Ga. died Jan. 8, 2011 at his residence after an extended illness. The Pike County, Kentucky native was a retired U.S. Air Force Veteran and served in the U.S. Army in the Korean Conflict and World War II. He was predeceased by his wife, Patricia Ann Castle, and son, Frank Anthony Castle. Survivors are 3 daughters: Gail Lynn (Phil) Dillon of Lake Hamilton, Fla., Mary (Jack) Crosier, Gayle (Robert) Hasting, both of Jesup, Ga.; sons: Ralph Thomas Castle of Lorton, Va., James Earl Porter of Frankfort, Kentucky, Bubba (Tammi) Castle of Ludowici, Ga., Trey Castle of Ludowici, Ga., a foster son: Will (Marloe) Adkin of Ft. Stewart, Ga.; sisters: Tina Salyers of South Point, Ohio, Margaret Christian of Clermont, Fla.; brothers: Ray Castle of Coal Grove, Ohio; 15 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 11 A.M. Wednesday, Jan. 12, 2011 from Rinehart and Sons Chapel with Rev. Phil Dillon officiating. Interment will be in the Jesup City Cemetery with full military honors. Active pallbearers will be the Military Honor Guard. Visitation will be 10 to 11 A.M. prior to services from the funeral home.
