Henry "Grady" Marr, age 80, entered into rest on August 20, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family and the care of Hospice of South Georgia. Grady was a U.S. Army veteran who worked many years at Rayonier in the machine room and was a faithful member of New Bethel Baptist Church. He loved the Lord and his church family, and his life was a testimony of kindness, faith, and devotion. Grady will be remembered for his love of family, his gentle spirit, and the steady example he set for all who knew him. His legacy will live on in the lives of those blessed to share in his journey. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Mable Marr; his grandson, Chris Lane; his parents, Arthur and Winnie Marr; and his brother, Cecil Marr, and sisters, Alice Marr Thomas, and Peggy Aspinwall.

Grady is survived by his dear brother and sister-in-law, Herschel (Kay) Marr, as well as many cherished nieces and nephews: Toni (Keith) Ray, Tammy (Daniel) Porvalik, Jason (Shelby) Aspinwall, Karri (Craig) Grantham, and Kristin (Jay) McReady. He also leaves behind several great-nieces and great-nephews who will carry forward fond memories of their uncle. He is lovingly remembered by two stepdaughters, Donna (Ralph) Brankel and Lisa (Billy) Crews, along with his step-grandchildren, all of whom he cared for dearly and considered an important part of his family.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Sunday, August 24, 2025 at O'Quinn Baptist Church with Reverends Donnie Mullis, Dennie Waters, David Moore officiating. Interment will follow in the O'Quinn Cemetery with U.S. flag presentation.  Active pallbearers will be his family and friends. Honorary pallbearers will be fellow employees of Rayonier, the staff members of Hospice of South Georgia and Harborview Health System.

Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church.
