Ret. SFC Harry G. Richardson, 84, of Jesup, died Tuesday, October 8, 2019.  The Miami, Florida native lived in Wayne County the past 40 years and was a 27-year U. S. Army Veteran having served in Korea and Vietnam who received the Purple Heart and Silver Star medals.  He enjoyed football, fishing, and his family.

Survivors are his wife of 57 years, Helga S. Richardson of Jesup; daughters, Rebecca (George) Kessner, Carla (Jim) Wells, Vicky Richardson and John, and Candice Richardson- all of Jesup; son, George (Anette) Richardson of Orlando, Florida; 9 grandchildren; several great grandchildren.

Graveside funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 12, 2019 at Sunset Memorial Oakes Cemetery with Rev. Clayton Dowd officiating along with full Military Honors.  Active pallbearers will be his family.

Family will receive friends from 9:30 to 10:30 at the funeral home prior to graveside service.
