Harriette Carter Burns, 66, of Jesup, Ga. died Monday, June 27, 2022.  The Wayne County native was a member of First Street Christian Church and a CVS retired employee.  She was an avid puzzle maker and enjoyed watching the Atlanta Braves Baseball games.  Her parents, Hal Carter and Mavis Carter Hinson preceded her in death along with her daughter, Susan Patrick Emmons and a brother, William Wooten.

Survivors are a husband of 30 years, Bob Burns of Jesup; a son, David (Talena) Patrick of Jesup; 4 grandchildren, Brooks and Finleigh Patrick, Kayleigh Adams and Nathan Vanderkarr; a sister, Sherry (Bill) McDonald of Jesup; brothers, Benny Ray Wooten of Jesup and Joe (Mia) Wooten of Clovis, Tx.

A celebration of life service will be 11 AM Tuesday, July 5, 2022 at Rinehart and Sons Chapel with Rev. Stanley Todd officiating. Private interment will be in the Jesup City Cemetery.

The family will receive friends 30 minutes prior to services at the funeral home.
