Gregory Daniel Brown, 66, of Jesup, Georgia, passed away on 2 September 2026 with his family by his side. Born at Fort Belvoir, Virginia, Greg was a 1977 graduate of Woodbridge High School in Woodbridge, Virginia. He went on to serve his country in the United States Navy, where his travels took him to San Diego, California, the Philippines, and Japan. Following his time in the Navy, Greg worked in the asphalt industry, living and working in Virginia, Colorado, and Georgia.

Greg was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Marlene (Edenfield) Brown; his brother-in-law, Rick Wolfe; and his nephew, Chuck Wolfe.

Greg is survived by his brother, Christopher Brown of Screven, Georgia; and his sisters, Monica (Brown) Wolfe of Stafford, Virginia, and Donna (Brown) Price of Kill Devil Hills, North Carolina. He is also survived by his nephews, Joe (Chrissy) Brown, Travis (Amber) Wolfe, and Trevor Price; and his great-nephew, Ryder Allen Wolfe Kliss, whom Greg deeply wished to see again.

Also surviving are cousins by love, Sandy and Larry (Laurie) Menzie, who stood by this family through the passage of time. They prayed, played, laughed, and stayed together through the years, becoming family in every way that matters. We also would like to mention his long- time girlfriend Linda Gonzales.

Greg did not want a funeral or formal services. Instead, he wanted everyone to go have a party with the people you love. It is perhaps the most fitting way to honor him—to gather together, share stories, laugh, remember, and cherish the people who are still here. He was famous for asking “have I told you lately that I love you?”

Burial services will take place at Stafford Memorial Park in Stafford, Virginia, at a later date.

The family would also like to extend a heartfelt thank-you to cousin Sandy Cravey for helping without hesitation whenever she was needed.

Greg will be remembered by those who loved him, and his memory will remain a part of the family he leaves behind. Now let’s go get a slam sammich!
