Grace Howard Groover, 81, of the Mt. Pleasant Community, passed away on Thursday, April 10, 2025.  The Wayne County native was a member of Akin Memorial Church and a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother to all of her family.  Her son, Robby "Redd" Groover preceded her in death along with brother, David Howard and sister, Nell Proudfoot.

Survivors are her husband of 61 years, Robert J. "Bobby" Groover of Mt. Pleasant; daughters, Lisa (Keith) Sanders and Mary Ann Sawyer, both of Brunswick; grandchildren, Reed (Alison) Sanders, Hannah Lewis and Joshua Rooks; great grandchildren, Morgan Lewis, Olivia Herman, twins, Lainey and Landry Owens; siblings, Ann Torkildsen of Brunswick, Donnie (Betty) Howard of Jesup, Maxie (Theresa) Howard of Lavernia, Tx., Alvin (Jackie) Howard of Jesup and Valerie Howard of Kingsland; numerous nieces and nephews.

Graveside funeral services will be 11 AM Monday, April 14, 2025 at Akin Memorial Church Cemetery with Rev. Phil Bunce officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Akin Memorial Church, c/o Donna Cannon, 835 Post Rd., Hortense, GA 31543.
