Glynn Norris Ogden, 67, of Odum, Ga. passed away Friday, February 24, 2023, under the care of Hospice of South Georgia. The Wayne County native was a 1974 graduate of Wayne County High School and a 40- year career employee with CSX Transportation. He was a life long member of Altamaha Baptist Church and was a founding member of the Big "O" Hunting Club. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and camper. One of his favorite places to be was at the Ogden cabin on the river at Rocky Lake. He was predeceased by his parents, Milton and Ruby McIntyre Odgen, his brother Jimmy Ogden and his son, Wesley Glynn Ogden.
Survivors are his wife of 38 years, Patricia R. Ogden, sons, Caleb and Tanner Ogden all of Odum; brothers, George (Kay) Ogden of Jesup and Robert (Karen) Ogden of Odum; many nephews, nieces and cousins.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, February 28, 2023, from the Altamaha Baptist Church with Dr. Bob Richardson officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Hammer Stanfield, Danny Carter, Rick Davidson, Brant Phelps, Cody Griffis and Jordan Harvey. Honorary pallbearers will be the members of the Big "O" Hunting Club and his friends and co-workers of CSX Transportation.
Visitation will be 10:00-11:00 a.m. prior to services at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Altamaha Baptist Church Building Fund, 6622 Oglethorpe Road, Jesup, GA 31545 or Hospice of South Georgia, 1625 Sunset Blvd. Jesup, GA. 31545.
