Glenda Poppell, 72, of Jesup, Ga. passed away Tuesday, April 23, 2024.She was a Wayne County native who enjoyed worshipping at Grace Assembly of God. Glenda always enjoyed working at Poppell's Produce, Nang's Restaurant and Walmart. She was part of a large, loving family and in her spare time, she enjoyed spending time with them. She was predeceased by her parents, Hyma and Thelma Page Poppell, and brothers, Wayne Poppell and Rick Poppell.

Survivors are sisters, Irene Kirkland, Barbara (Richard) Bennett both of Jesup, Betty (Don Bitter) Cason of Hilton Head, SC., Carol (James) Brown, Judy (William) Rozier, and Sandra (Steve) Dickens, all of Jesup; brothers, Dennis (Martha) Poppell, Jerry (Shirley) Poppell, Genell (Tanya) Poppell all of Odum; sisters-in-law, Cathy Poppell of Jesup and Joni Poppell of Guyton; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.

Funeral services will be held 11 AM, Friday, April 26, 2024, at Rinehart and Sons Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dale Bange officiating. Family will receive friends one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Interment will be in Pinecrest Memorial Cemetery.  Active pallbearers will be her nephews. Honorary pallbearers will be the Hospice of South Georgia staff.

Glenda requested memorials be made to her church, Grace Assembly of God, 2324 Rayonier Road, Jesup, GA 31545.
