Gerana Manning Chancellor, 77, of Jesup, Ga. died Sunday, August 20, 2023.  The Wayne County native was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and a homemaker.  She enjoyed gardening, cooking and always being there for her family. Her husband, Jesse Lee Chancellor preceded her in death along with her grandson, Joseph Stac Horton.

Survivors are 3 daughters, Deborah (Don) Combs and Teresa (Ralph) Swailes, both of Jesup, Fenecia Carter Saxon of Brunswick; son, Cecil (Angela) Chancellor of Bristol; sister, Omar Manning of Jesup; brothers, Herman (Kim) Manning and Larry (Zelda) Manning, both of Jesup; 11 grandchildren; several great grandchildren and other extended family members.

Funeral services will be 11 AM Tuesday, August 22, 2023 at Rinehart Chapel with Rev. Joe Manning officiating. Interment will follow in the Pinecrest Memorial Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be her family.

Visitation will be 6 to 8 PM Monday, August 21, 2023 at the funeral home.
