Eulogia L. Rodriguez Santiago, “Miss Santiago”, 92, of Jesup, Ga. passed away on Monday, May 4, 2026 under the care of Harborview Nursing Home and Hospice of South Georgia. The Puerto Rican native had lived in New York and received the honor of pinning a corsage on Jacqueline Kennedy while she was there. Her last 4 years have been spent in Jesup surrounded by her loving family. Mexican music was one thing that lifted her happy soul for many years. She would read her Bible every night and for her, being self-taught was a rewarding feat. Her infectious smile won the “Colgate Smile” Award as she would carry herself nicely and converse with anyone from different socioeconomic backgrounds. Her husband and father of her children, Frank Luque preceded her in death along with her late husband, Ramon Velazquez; two sons, Arlos and Frank Luque.

Survivors are 3 daughters, Lourdes Robles of Rhode Island, Mary “Chiquita” Luque of Jesup and Jior “Yi Yi” Luque of Puerto Rico; two sisters, Ramonita Flores and Eulogia Flores; brother, Martin Flores; grandchildren, Kristie, Christian, Roberto, Ruthdally, Krystal, Eric, Edwin, Armando, Kenneth, Frank, Valeria, Yiorly and Yiorely; several great grandchildren, Genesis, Arismantie and Francis; a great-great grandchild Gabby; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 11 AM Thursday, May 7, 2026 in Rinehart Chapel with Rev. Dale Bange officiating.

Visitation will be an hour prior to services at the funeral home.
