Erma Lou Hughes Hadden, 88, of Ludowici, Ga. passed away on Thursday, January 22, 2026. The Appling County native had lived in Long County most of her life and was a member of Parkway Church of God. The homemaker enjoyed quilting, crocheting and fixing all kinds of things around her house. Erma Lou was strong-willed and loved many outdoor activities with her family such as hunting, fishing and camping.  She had many fishtanks full of guppies that filled her time.  Her husband of 70 years, Cleo Hadden preceded her in death along with their son, Timothy Hadden and 4 brothers, Melvin Hutcheson, Crother Cromwell "C.C." Hughes, Matthew Hughes and Leonard Hughes.

Survivors are her children, a son, Glenn (Cynthia) Hadden of Ludowici; a daughter, Susan (Mark) Connor of Augusta; a grandson and care giver, Jacob Hadden of Ludowici; granddaughters, Cassandra (Michael) Conner-Langston of Japan and Victoria (Trent) Simmons of Ludowici; two great granddaughters, Aryanna Conner and Ophelia Conner-Langston; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 11 AM Tuesday, January 27, 2026 from Rinehart and Sons Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Angie McLaughlin and Pastor Thomas Maddux officiating. Interment will follow in Middleton Memorial Cemetery in Ludowici.  Active pallbearers will be family members Jacob Hadden, Benjamin McLaughlin, Steve Moreno, Trent Simmons and Matthew Gibson.

Family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00 a.m. prior to services at the chapel.
