Odum, Ga.
Sarah "Elaine" Crockett, 61 of Odum, Ga. died Saturday, January 9, 2016. The Thomaston, Ga. native had lived in Wayne County the past several years and was a member of Friendship Baptist Church. She served her country as a U.S. Army Airborne 82nd Infantry Veteran and a paratrooper. She was a former Sunbeam Trucking Company employee and enjoyed fishing and singing.
Survivors are a son, Virgil Crockett of DeFuniak Springs, Fla.; two sisters, Patricia(Jesse) Anderson of Odum, Ga., Rhonda (Tony) Will of Edmonton, Ky.; several nieces and nephews; a friend, Carol Jodon of Jesup, Ga.
Private family graveside services will be held in Thomaston, Ga with Rev. Phillip O'Steen officiating.
