Edward Allen “May Day” May, Jr., 52, of Jesup, Ga. passed away on Sunday, March 15, 2026. The Wayne County native had lived in Jesup all of his life and was a millwright and carpenter. Some favorite hobbies were fishing, playing horseshoes, NASCAR, and spending time with his daughter, granddaughter and his best friend, “Bud”, his dog. His father, Edward Allen May, Sr. preceded him in death.

Survivors are his daughter, Destiny May and her mother, Shane Odum; his granddaughter, Alayah Jones; his mother, Joan Kennedy; 3 brothers, Jereme (Summer) Kennedy, Luke Edenfield and Josh May; 4 sisters, Christen (Bill Jernigan) Kennedy and their son, Tyler Jernigan, Lori (Michael “Fat” Connor) Kennedy and their son, Hudson, Jennifer and Ashley May.

Private memorial services will be held by the family.
