Eddie C. Surrency, 75, of Odum, Ga. passed away on Saturday, August 16, 2025.  The Wayne County native was a member of Jesup Church of God and a retired ITT Rayonier employee. Eddie served his country in the Army National Guard.  He used his horses and carriage to serve his community in parades, weddings, and other special occasions. Hunting with his dogs was a favorite hobby. His wife of 54 years, Sandra S. Surrency preceded him in death along with his father, Cecil W. Surrency and a nephew, Stan Newman, Jr.

Survivors are a daughter and son-in-law, Christy and Sean Ellerbee of Monroe; two grandchildren, Jack and Ben Ellerbee; his mother, Vivian Surrency (Vernon) Aspinwall of Jesup; a sister, Kim Surrency (George) Newman of Odum.

Funeral services will be 11 AM Wednesday, August 20, 2025 at Rinehart Chapel with Rev. Calvin Anderson officiating. Interment will follow in the Red Hill Cemetery.

Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
