Obituary

Eddie Rudy Walker, 75, of Jesup, Ga. went to his heavenly home on Tuesday, September 29, 2026. The Ware County native was the son of Ephrim Thomas and Agatha Vivian Walker and was of the Church of God faith. The U.S. Army veteran was a retired truck driver for Trucks, Inc. of Jackson, Ga. He enjoyed local traveling to sings, dances, and cooking out with his family. He was predeceased by his parents, a brother, Donald Thomas Walker and a sister, Tammy Celeste Josey.

Survivors are his wife of 10 years, Sarah Miller Joyner of Jesup; a daughter, April (James) Ernest of Folkston, Ga.; a son, Christian (Tina) Walker of Waycross, Ga. a sister, Judy (Neil) Knowlton of St. Marys, Ga.; sister-in-law, Carlene Walker of Doerun, Ga.; several grandchildren; a step daughter, Cherdee (Tony) Torres of Jesup; and extended family.

Memorial services will be held 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 6, 2026 at Rinehart and Sons Chapel with Pastor Calvin Anderson and Rev. Christian Walker officiating. Interment will follow in Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Glenville, Ga. with Military Honors.

Family will received friends from 12:00-1:00 p.m prior to services at the funeral.
