Eddi Todd, 60, of Jesup, Ga. died Friday, January 5, 2024 under the care of Hospice of South Georgia. The Wayne County native was a member of Altamaha Baptist Church. The retired U.S. Army veteran and staff sergeant proudly served in Operation Iraqi Freedom and Saudi Arabia. He began working as an electrician with the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers and taught apprenticeship classes. He finally retired as a business administrator for the Union. In his spare time, he loved to fish and travel the world on cruises and also to Walt Disney World. His infant son, Hunter, preceded him in death along with his parents, John D. and Inez Todd, brother, James Todd and mother-in-love, Brenda Moore.
Survivors are two sons, Erik (Brian Brostko) Todd of Chicago, Ill. and Corey Todd of Jesup and their mother, Michelle R. Todd of Jesup; two sisters, Kathy (Glen) Takaki and Diane (John) Burke, both of Jesup; two brothers, Charlie and Melvin Todd, both of Jesup; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 2 PM Monday, January 8, 2024 at Altamaha Baptist Church with Pastor Bob Richardson, Rev. Stanley Todd and Rev. John Gallman officiating. Interment will follow in the Pinecrest Memorial Cemetery with full military honors. Active pallbearers will be his fellow union workers.
Visitation will be an hour prior to services at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Hospice of South Georgia Building Fund, 1625 Sunset Blvd., Jesup, GA 31545.
Rinehart and Sons Funeral Home of Jesup is in charge of arrangements.
