Dwayne Wasdin, 76, of Patterson, died Wednesday, April 26, 2023. The Pierce County native attended Screven First Baptist Church and was a retired ITT Rayonier employee. Hunting and gun auction sales were favorite pastimes. His parents, Colon and Reba Wasdin preceded him in death along with 3 sisters, Cynthia Thornton, Nancy Wilson and Saundra Miller; a brother, Thomas Wasdin.

Survivors are his wife of 54 years, Sherry Thornton Wasdin of Patterson; two daughters, April (Ron) Regier of Escanaba, Michigan and Shay Wasdin of Patterson; a son, Jeremy (Shanda) Wasdin of Bristol; 7 grandchildren, Ridge Purcell (fiancé, Mallory Duncan), Leslie Purcell, Jose and Jesse Zarraga, J.J. Wasdin, MacKenzie and Christian Regier and an expected great grandson, Walker Ridge Purcell.

Graveside funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Sunday, April 30, 2023 in Lake Chapel Cemetery in Patterson with Elder Jason Deal and Durwood Miller officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of South Georgia, 1625 Sunset Blvd., Jesup, GA 31545.
