James Douglas "Doug" Tillman, 48, of Hiwassee, Ga. passed away on Sunday, July 24, 2022 into his eternal home with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.  He loved sharing his life of Jesus and grew up in Calvary Baptist Church in Jesup and Pine Ridge Baptist Church in Brunswick. After becoming a 1992 graduate of Brunswick High School, he went on to be a landscaper and entrepreneur. The outdoorsman and avid Georgia Football fan loved to hike, fish, play any sports but especially golf.  His father, James E. Tillman preceded him in death along with his grandparents, Elton and Ruth Tillman and Brantley and Melba McManus.

Survivors are his 3 children, Victor, Lily and Cassie; his mother, Elaine (Barry) Thompson of Brunswick; a sister, Telenia (Chad) Brooks and  their two children, Carlyn and Cason, all of Tennessee; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and a special and loyal Papillon, "Tink".

A celebration of life service will be 11 AM Wednesday, July 27, 2022 at Rinehart and Sons Chapel with Rev. Vann Dempsey officiating. Interment will follow in the Jesup City Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be his family.

Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
