Dorothy McCoy Thornton, 70, of Jesup, Ga. passed away Friday, August 12, 2022 under Georgia Hospice Care. The Jacksonville, FL. native was a Christian and worked various jobs in her life finishing with North Florida Web Company. She loved to spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was predeceased by her daughter, Naomi Adams and former father-in-law, Roy Jones.

Survivors are her husband, Phillip Thornton of Jacksonville, FL.; two daughters, Faye (Robert) Harriet of Jesup and Beth Turbeville of Jacksonville, FL; two sons, Ray Jones and T.J. Rutledge both of Jacksonville, FL.; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; sister, Mattie Ruth McCoy; 3 brothers, George, Wayne and Bobby McCoy.

A private memorial service will be handled by the family.
