Dorothy "Dot" Ganey Kesser, 92, of Knox, New York and Jesup, Ga. died April 5, 2024. She had lived in Wayne County most of her adult life and was of the Catholic faith and a retired Civil Service employee of 31 years as well as a  licensed pilot who enjoyed flying with her husband in their planes.   She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph V. Kesser; her parents, Ernest and Sadie Bennett Ganey, sisters, Bobbie Jean Tankersley, Patsy Godwin, Betty Manning, and Hazel Ganey; a brother, Billy Ganey.

Survivors are a son, Michael E. (Paulette) Payne of Altamont, NY; grandson, Christopher Payne of Jesup; great-grand daughter, Dacey Payne of Jesup; sister,  Carolyn Levin of York, PA; brother, Parker Ganey of Jesup; several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, April 12, 2024 from Odum City Cemetery with Father Keith O'Neill officiating. Active pallbearers will be her family.

Family will receive friends from 12:30-1:30 p.m. at Rinehart and Sons Funeral Home.
