Dewayne Mansfield, 64, of Screven, Ga. passed away on Wednesday, August 13, 2025 in the Hospice of South Georgia Inpatient Unit.  The Wayne County native loved the Lord.  Dewayne started his love of bees with the York Bee Company and then went on to own his own company named DWM Apiary and later worked at RWP Inc. in Jesup. He had many hobbies such as hunting, fishing, working on classic cars and trucks but he loved the title of "Papa" the most.  His parents, Dennis and Hazel Mansfield preceded him in death along with brothers, Raymond and Morris Mansfield and sisters, Glenda Robinson and Juanita Mansfield.

Survivors are his daughter, Chrystal (Sharon) Bateman of Odum; 3 grandchildren, Madison, Isaac and Brayden Mansfield; brothers, Leo "Doodle", Dillard, Pearce and Harvey Mansfield; a host of nieces and nephews.

A celebration of his life will be soon with a burial in Big Creek Cemetery near his parents.
